For millennia, humanity has sought to unravel the mysteries of the Universe, a teenager of approximately 14 billion years, whose evolutionary history has traversed countless eras and epochs, each with its own particularities, leading up to its current moment of accelerated expansion.


The first stage of the Cosmos, the Primitive Universe, encompasses the realm of eras and epochs lasting up to about 1 second after the Big Bang. Its initial phase is the Planck Era, a moment when dimensions were infinitely small but with exorbitant energy and density.


During this period, occurring moments before 10^-43 seconds after the Big Bang, classical physics laws diverge, making it nonsensical to apply them to the undefined space-time conjecture of the Planck Era.


Therefore, the possibility arises to utilize quantum physics laws as a means to investigate the events of this unique moment in the history of our Universe.


In this context, Quantum Cosmology comes into play—the application of quantum physics laws to the Universe as a whole. It serves as a tool capable of elucidating the early events of the Cosmos, which this lecture aims to discuss and clarify its main topics and applications, such as the probability of a classical universe emerging from the process of quantum tunneling.
